Solar Aesthetics/Leave No Trace (LNT) Volunteer
The Solar Program is responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and beautification of all Burning Man Project’s solar resources, both on Playa and off. We’re a small team of 9 people who deliver, build, and collect data on the various solar generators we operate on and off Playa for infrastructure and art.
We aim to help achieve our sustainability goals and lead by example to encourage participation and innovation by our community toward sustainability as a whole. We represent the need to adapt available technology for the betterment of our environment and community. We hope to inspire conversations on conservation and sustainable practice with tones realistic and fantastic. The A/A & LNT Volunteer will assist in those goals by adding their hands, minds, and creative input to each of our projects, making them more appealing to the community and helping them become more than just power infrastructure.
During Burning Man, we will provide you space in our staff camp to pitch a tent or park a trailer, three meals a day from our wonderful commissary, and daily showers. You will also receive a staff credential/ticket to Burning Man as a thank you for your time and energy!
